Kara is a Melbourne based, Australian actor with a background in theatre, film and television.
She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge of the film and television industry and in addition to pursuing an acting career, has studied a Bachelor of Creative Industries at the Queensland University of Technology and is currently studying a Bachelor of Film and Television at Swinburne University of Technology.
Kara has been involved in the performing arts since the age of three. Beginning her training in music and dance, she discovered her love of the stage during her time at school performing in various musicals, theatre performances and tours. During her senior year, Kara was cast as a lead in Lord of the Flies and won numerous awards at the Gold Coast Secondary Schools Drama Festival for her portrayal of Jack Merridew.
Seeking further experience, Kara has performed with the Gold Coast Arts Centre, Savoyards Musical Comedy Society and heartBeast Vicious Theatre Ensemble. Her love of theatre has also led her overseas to the United Kingdom, where she worked as a producer and choreographer for a production of Dick Whittington.
After returning from overseas, Kara took her first steps into the world of Film and Television, where an interest turned into her passion. After studying with some of the most respected names in the industry, she made the decision to move to Melbourne where her chosen career path has taken her in many unexpected directions.
Kara looks forward to where the path will lead next and is always excited and willing to collaborate with passionate, industry professionals and hopefuls.
Her screen credits to date include H2O Just Add Water, Bait, Lightning Point, Terra Nova and Reef Doctors.
